Talking about Viña Ijalba is talking about innovation, research, differentiation and respect for the environment. Pioneer in the production of organic wines. Since its origin, it has contributed to the recovery of indigenous Rioja minority varieties, seeking a differentiation based on its unique and modern wines.

Bodegas Viña Ijalba was born from the concern of its founder, Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba, for the recovery of soils for the planting of vineyards. In 1975 he planted his first vineyard and in 1991 he built his winery on an old quarry. It is equipped with the most modern technology to produce organic wines, from its 90 hectares of its own vineyards, located on soils recovered from old open-pit mines, spread over several areas of Rioja D.O.Ca.

Viña Ijalba is a family winery that produces quality organic wines following traditional Rioja techniques and respecting, up to the current third generation, their commitment to the environment.

Just five minutes by car from the center of Logroño, the winery is a modern and avant-garde building, where the best and most up-to-date technological processes in winemaking are prioritized.

The visit to the winery includes a walk through the garden of indigenous varieties, contemplating a beautiful landscape of the Sierra de Cantabria and the Sierra de la Demanda. Knowing the vineyard first-hand, to later go into the winery where we can see the process of winemaking, enjoying its barrel room. And ending with a tasting of various wines, paired with a typical Riojan aperitif.

The winery has several rooms for holding different events and has a big parking for visitors. It can be reached by walking from the center of Logroño. Previous appointment is necessary for any activity.
